I found their albums a little bit under-produced
myself. Anyway..
'In 2001, Brian James and Dave Tregunna put together
a new Lords line up and released the CD single
Believe it or Not'. Spring 2002 saw them on the road
undertaking an extensive European tour, and in 2003
they recorded a new CD - 'Hang On', before
undertaking another European Tour. In January 2004,
the CD single 'Heaven Stepped Down' was released.

Andy, don't bother. The new stuff is quite possibly some of the worst "music" I have ever heard. I'm not just saying this due to my being a Stiv freak. I had decided that I would possibly get the new album, just to add to the collection. I heard 3 songs, and decided that it wouldn't even be worth a burn. I am serious, I was shock as to how bad it was, and so was everybody else I played it for. Just terrible. It actually sounds like a bunch of amature musicians played it.

They were never one of my fav's but just wondered about 'em. Loved Russian roulette and a few others but like has been said the production was always naff.
I have a single which was probably one of the last with Stiv but I rarly played it as it was bad at the time even.

See, I love The Lords, and Stiv is a bit of an idol to me. But I played the new stuff for people that have no care about Stiv or the past of the band, and all of the were amazed at how bad it all was. Everything. I did have a bunch of the MP3's here at work, but they were so bad, I deleted them. I have Roxx Gang in my collection, but no new Lords, and believe me, that speaks VOLUMES about how bad this stuff is.

I don't know how true this is, but I did hear recently that the New Lords have finished acrimoniously - apparently Stevenmarque (the Godawful new singer) tried to trademark "Lords Of The New Church" for himself.
Speaking as a Lords obsessive, they should NEVER have tried to put it back together. It couldn't possibly work without Stiv.

He was hit by a car, and felt well enough to go home without a visit to the hospital. He didn't know he actually had some internal injuries and ended up dying from internal bleeding while he slept.
